Conversely PlanePlotter charges its data providers. If you registered your MU and PPm licences with the same email address, you will see Mlat aircraft within 30 minutes of starting PPm. This is a premium feature, but a 21-day free trial is available. Only Master Users (MUs) of PlanePlotter can initiate Mlat requests. The position of unknown aircraft may be determined by "multilateration", or Mlat. If sufficient aircraft messages are received by multiple users, PlanePlotter can determine the position of aircraft that are not transmitting position reports but are transmitting Mode-S messages – these include some military and private aircraft.
